Smartcitymakassar.com. --Makassar- 'Makassar Day' will be the theme for Business Festival held in Madrid, Spain, 4-5 May 2016 as stated by Adi Priyanto, the Minister Counsellor Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia, Madrid, Spain.
Makassar was chosen since this region is widely known for its maritime potentials, explained Adi when attended a meeting with the Mayor of Makassar, Moh. Ramdhan Pomanto, at Makassar City Hall, Thursday (03/03/2016). Further, he described, "this year our focus is on maritime infrastructure development. At 'Makassar Day' event, Makassar has great chance to get investment opportunities from Spanish business sector."
The Mayor of Makassar, Danny Pomanto, will take the advantage of this event by promoting Makassar's culture as well as by finding investments in maritime sector from Spain. According to Danny, Makassar will promote its traditional culinary such as 'Coto', 'Pallu Basa', and 'Barongko'. For fashion, there will be 'kolara' exhibition. Also, the Government of Makassar will present some traditional dances, namely, 'Pepe ri' Makka' and 'Pa'raga' dance.* (Iskandar Burhan)
