Smartcitymakassar.com. --Makassar- Indonesian Agency for Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics or BMKG Makassar Region informed that Makassar is part of areas that are prone to extreme weather such as windstorm and hurricane.
Sujarwo of Makassar BMKG forwarded this information, on Monday (21/12). According to him, until end of this December extreme weather will occur in the western part of South Sulawesi. The wind velocity estimated between 10 to 35 kms/hour. "The velocity can be 40 kms/hour or even more when the weather is more extreme," he explained.* (Iskandar Burhan)
