SmartCityMakassar.Com. MAKASSAR: The initial foothold of the world city vision of Makassar starts from alley or lorong management, such as 'Lorong Garden'. Makassar Mayor, Moh. Ramdhan Pomanto, has been continuously boosting the public participation especially those live in alleys.
However, until recently, the progress of Lorong Garden program in Makassar is considered as not maximal. Therefore, for the next year of 2016, the Mayor targeted to reach the 80% completion of this program.
"So far, the 'Lorong Garden' concept applies the public awareness model. Publics manage their own alleys and the government facilitates with variety kinds of help", said Moh. Ramdhan Pomanto at his office, Tuesday (15/12).
Lamp at the alley is one of these helps. "We will give alleys lights, however, under the conditions that they have implemented the 'Lorong Garden' concept," further the Mayor said.* (Iskandar Burhan)
