"We do still have a show that is, of course, as attractive as other places do. However, one important thing is that with less budget we can still present this attractive and magnificent show to our people," said the Mayor when worked with other event committee for the the show preparation at City of Makassar Pavilion (anjungan), Losari Beach, Thursday (31/12).
Makassar changed the existing image of luxurious stage for new year celebration. The stage of the show consists of 4 firefighting trucks. Danny, the familiar name of the Mayor, with other artists will perform on the trucks or stage.
Danny with all Heads of Makassar Work Units or Offices (SKPD) will do the countdown to exactly 24:00 o'clock on these trucks. At the moment of approaching the new year, there will be interesting attractions performed from the trucks using spraying water and colorful light effect then followed by booms from 8 traditional bamboo-made cannon to mark the new year of 2016.
National band groups, Kamila, and some 'dangdut' singers are among the performers. Beside the show, there are about 29 new firefighting trucks were parking in a blockade format located around the stage that creates an interesting and specific view.
