Smartcitymakassar.com. --Makassar- An engineered traffic system will be applied during the end night of the year in Makassar. Makassar City Police Office (Polrestabes) decided to apply this system to some roads either by full closed or by closed-opened system.
According to the Makassar City Polife Office Head of Public Relation Sub Section, Police Commissioner Adjutant (Kompol) Andi Husnaeni, there are some roads that connect the potential overpeopled meeting points at Losari Beach area will be engineered. Around 26 roads around Makassar will be applied opened- and closed-system in order to avoid the total congestion potential as well as to provide safe and comfort roads condition, said Andi Husnaeni.
The roads that will be closed during the end night of the year are Jalan Penghibur, Pasar Ikan, Ujung Pandang, Kajaolalido, Usman Jafar, Chairil Anwar, Ince Nurdin, Manggis, Emmy Saelan, Yosep Latumahinam Lagaligo, Mukhtar Lutfi, and Jalan Ali Malaka.
Other roads with closed-system are Jalan Ranggong, Rajawali, Bau Massepe, Kenari, Maipa, Datu Museng, Garuda, Karunrung, Somba Opu, and Jalan H. Bau.
These roads are the main access to the Losari Beach area. Losari Beach area will be considered as the overpeopled meeting points during the changing year moment. Parking lots will be available at some locations such as at Jalan Slamet Riyadi, Riburane, Nusantara, CPI, Triple C, and Trans Studio.
For the residents who live around the closed roads can access them by showing their identity cards or other legal relevant cards.* (Iskandar Burhan)
