Traditional Food Vaganza: the Event for Promoting Makassar Tourism and Creative Economy

MAKASSAR:  There are some missions behind the MURI Record event for the longest 'Pisang Ijo' and for the most varieties of 'Pisang Ijo' menu.  Apart from the creative and innovative effort to echoing Makassar traditional culinary at international level, it is a mission to introduce the locals creativity especially on various innovative recipes from 'pisang ijo'.

Culinary is part of creative economy in which Makassar has been long having these potentials.  For that reason, Makassar Office for Tourism and Creative Economy drove this event, "Traditional Food Vaganza", as a momentum to bring and integrate all locals potentials in synergy to develop the tourism and creative economy sector in Makassar. "We invited Asosiasi Perusahaan Jasa Boga Indonesia (APJI) and 'rose brand' as well as regional government bank to this event", said Rusmayani Madjid, Head of the Office, Saturday (28/11), during the event, at Losari Beach, Makassar.*
