Smartcitymakassar.com. --Makassar- The Mayor of Makassar, Moh. Ramdhan Pomanto, raised the name of Makassar again at the international scale. In front of ministers from ASEAN countries, at the ASEAN Summit Forum, on Thursday (18/02/2016), in San Fransisco, United States, Danny Pomanto, the familiar name of the Mayor, presented the innovative as well as dynamic development progress of Makassar.
"Thank to all my Makassar peoples' pray, I can present our city to ministers from ASEAN. This morning, at the same podium, the President of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, presented his keynotes," explained Danny to Smartcity Magazine through Whatssapp.
Danny's presentation described programs from the Government of Makassar such as Smart Card. He explained about this breakthrough as part of integrated service to public focusing on education and public health. Danny also gave the description of 'alley empowerment' (or 'Pemberdayaan Lorong'). Under this empowerment, programs such as 'Lorong Garden', Micro Small and Medium Enterprise, Home Care for public health service are part of his examples.
The Mayor's presentation gained broad attentions and appreciation that come, for example, from panelists of US-Asia Business, Thailand Ministry of Industry, Director and CEO of General Electric (GE) of United States.* (Iskandar Burhan)
