Makassar. Smartcitymakassar.com. Districts will hand over the task of waste management in Makassar. At the moment, the Government of Makassar is arranging the technical aspects of budget transfer from Makassar Office of Sanitation (Dinas Kebersihan) to all 14 districts in Makassar.
According to the Head of Makassar Office of Sanitation, Azis Hasan, the operational budget of waste trucks, which is fuel budget, allocated in 2016 year Makassar Government Budget (APBD) for his office will be handed over to all districts. "At the moment we have 184 trucks operating in Makassar consuming around 15-30 litres per day per truck", he informed. He said further that operational budget of these trucks at each districts varies according to the number of their trucks.
Makassar Secretary (Sekretaris Daerah), Ibrahim Saleh, said that the Government of Makassar currently is preparing the technical aspects of budget transfer from Makassar Office of Sanitation to all Districts in Makassar. "All Head of Districts are ready. They are just waiting for the budget transfer which will be allocated for fuel operational and the honorariums of the staffs", he added.* (Iskandar Burhan)
